HOPI

Hopi High School boys cross-country assistant coach Juwan Nuvayokva prepares for a morning run at his childhood home in the Hopi village of Oraibi in northern Arizona on October 23, 2015. Nuvayokva ran on the team while he was in school, which has won 25 consecutive state titles under coach Rick Baker, who started the program. Much of the team's success is owed to a deeply rooted culture of running, which the Hopi believe is a source of physical and spiritual strength.
